that is one of the dumber ideas i have heard, to risk getting water into the engine to spare like 15 mins work, when all reality you are creating more work because you are just letting more dirt and stuff to get on the filter.

That's why I said use a bypass so water doesn't get in the engine... But u got me wrong on the dirt part.... Maybe make a flap to close it!!!! Ehh better than removing everything
