i/e/p/ and p&p
alright since ive asked and seen since im gettin a turbo sometime. If i get cai, skunk 2 exhaust, and pulleys and then get my scion ported and polished, which i can get done for 3-400 and they said they can get 10-15 more h.p out of it, would this be a good increase for now, thanks

well the reason i want this stuff is cus i really want a decent amount of power cus ill be goin into the military for 1-2 years and then gettin the turbo and wanted my car to be faster untill i leave.

Don’t listen to them. Get the pulley set. It will be the best bang for your buck right now and u can still use them with the turbo. The intake would be optional because you will need to get rid of it when you get the turbo but you could always sell it back for the same or close to the same price. The exhaust is the same as the intake except you could through a catback that is meant for a turbo on there and when u get the turbo you won’t have to worry about turbo lag. The only problem with that is having 3 inch piping on the a$$ end of your car will make your car sound ridiculously loud but it will also sound awful. Thats why I said pulley system 1st and intake second.

well if i get the intake and skunk 2 catback, but sell it later to help with turbo, and get pulleys will me and friends feel a good difference in performance if i add it all at once thatll be like 12-14 h.p right .... and then if thats not enough get the p&p which they told me can get me 10-15 more h.p and will help turbo later .. thanks

according to the box that the intake and exhaust come in you will gain like 30hp. jk You might gain very little but nuthing that you will really notice or enjoy. If you get pulleys, get NST (NonStopTuning) pulleys. Those you will enjoy.

dude.. you can pretty much bank on a 5-7hp gain with an intake .. and 3-5 from an exhaust {rear section}. that much you can prove with dyno charts all over this site. The pulleys and the exhaust are both good buys for your money as they will help in the long run. the p&p job I would wait on, because if you are going to pull it off .. go ahead and build it while its off.. the turbo it. The intake you will spend more on now then you will make back later.. but if you dont mind losing $100 or so in the long run on it to enjoy your car.. then dude.. go for it. Its your car, have fun with it.

Your overall gain would be around 30whp (170-175whp) with i/h/e p&p. Pulleys don't give you power just get through the powerband faster.
5-7hp from an intake? AHAHAHHA. The very best intake out there might get you 5-6. Major and even most minor companies produce those numbers by ideal conditions. Meaning perfect weather. With no other mods, 5-7hp is high.
You dont figure the whp gains with each individual part than add them all together, it works as a system, not individually.
For instance: 3whp from intake 10whp from exhaust doesnt equal 13whp overall. It can sometimes equal less and sometimes more depending on x, y and z. Really bad explanation but im exhausted.
Bottom line is this, if i had a car i was planning to boost, i would save my money. Especially knowing i was going in the military and would be gone 1-2 years anyway.
Also if you can get your P&P for $300-$400 total, go some place else. Unless you are getting a great discount, they will probably mess your head up and you can actually lose power that way. FYI.
