Default I NEED HELP. INTAKE PROBLEM

I just installed a new K & N short ram intake on my tC. Sometimes when i start my car without idling first and I go to hit the gas. it bogs out. I can hear the car suck in air but it doesn't move. I have to sit there and let it idle for a bit before i can go. I have asked around and the best answer ive gotten is that the cars computer has to get used to the intake every time i start it. could it be something else?

are you sure you installed everything correctly and securely? a chance as small as a new intake should not ever make your tC do that. plus the car doesn't have to get used to "every time." it gets used to it once.

i'd say there was a problem with the install.. either that or something could be messed up with your MAF or the way it is mounted

nope no check engine light. Is it possible that the MAF might just need cleaning?

You might check to see if the MAF is seated properly or if it plugged in.

def check couplers, they all need to be as tight as possible without bending the pipe. it has to be something wrong with the install

Your MAF is you problem. I would change it out and put the stock back and take it to your dealer ship.
