Hey everyone, I'm putting a takeda ram intake and HKS exhaust. I know I'll need to remap my CPU but do I HAVE to put it on a dyno after? Also for my cali bros do will doing this effect my SMOG?

Thanks for the read.

No. Plus it's currently impossible to remap the ECU with anything other than a TRD reflash (which is only for the supercharger). Anything else would be a piggyback or standalone, but you can't remap the ECU.

Sorry to post on an old thread but I've yet to install the system. So if I put this stuff on I wont need a fuel management system or anything else? I'm kind of confused and I'm getting a lot of mixed word. Bottom line guys, what do I need to do with a get a new intake and exhaust.

Nothing. They dont change any parameters that would require tuning, such as fuel and timing. Some advertisements for unichip say you can get tunes for intake and exhaust, but I don't think anyone has actually done that. Stick ecu handles intake and exhaust fine.

Alright, thanks for the info.

follow up question I got a OEM MAF to replace the old one. I put it in and the car stalls out. Do i need to reset the car (taking the battery terminal off then put it back on) ?

Reset and let it idle for 5-10 mins w/o touching it.
