not all of them are. That is an available 268HP V6, but the base model has the 2.4L.

right...skeorx was saying they all had the 260HP engine....not true.

We can only steal the 2.4L 5-speed version.

wheel hop hasn't been an issue for me sinse upgrading the suspension and tires. so I dunno if an LSD would help.

Which upgrade would you say helped the most with wheel hop? Mine is driving me nuts!

uh... have you driven a boosted tc in first or second gear..?
UH... i have a boosted tC.

The LSD and a good pair of sticky tires will make those 1st & 2nd gear usable.

The longer the gear ratio, the more stress it put on the engine.

it all has to do with the suspension. all the tires did was keep me from spinning when launching the car.

forgive me for my ignorance in this.
Personally speaking... I never do hard acceleration in "overdrive" gears. That is the weekpoint of the trans.

I'm not sure it matters much in N/A low HP situations, but in my case, my stock clutch didn't hold up and if it did, the trans wouldn't have.

I call BS on this statement. Compair a SRT-4 gearing to ours... We have to shift in to 3rd before 60 which kills our 0-60 times and they finish the quarter in 3rd, while I am at the top of 4th now and with tires, I'll be in 5th... Too much shifting!

Actually, a longer gear IS better for FI. A shorter gear will accelerate faster - while it's in gear. The key is to find a happy medium, and a longer gear puts load on the engine for a longer period of time, allowing you to make boost longer. If 1st & 2nd gears in a tC were about 8% taller, and 5th about 10% taller, it would be perfect IMO.
