Everyone sayin its worth it to buy it. Im lookin at gettin one right now. is the install easy? How long does it take? how exactly does it bolt onto the motor?. Can you reaaly feel a greater difference in the performance or your motor?

I like it. Instal took 45 min since the instruction they give have crappy pictures. The dyi here is better. You do notice a little difference and I do not get wheel hop. It does sound like you have a second intake on that side of teh engine. The only pia is the fact that it squeeks when it is really cold but since you are in TX no worries there. I would not make it my first mod but I bought it for 100 so I think it is money well spent.

Yea I didn't look at your profile. For the price, the ingalls rear strut brace was a better buy. The stiffy balances the WR sound pretty good. I would wait for a used one. They pop up alot because of the sound, but since your car is loud already you won't mind.

it's normal, just annoying. it causes no harm, just something you gotta deal with. it should only do when it's less than 35-40 degrees or so

Actually based on simple physics, chemistry, and thermodynamics the claim of noise being normal when cold isn't BS. We designed our damper to function at engine operating temperature (about 180-210*F), not ambient temperature. If we designed an elastomer insert that functioned properly from 0-100*F we would get calls constantly about dampers feeling loose or weak after the engine warmed up. If the noise is driving you crazy when the damper is cold, then the best suggestion I can make is for you to Dynamat the damper housing and underside of the chassis bracket (one layer people, too much will cause the bracket to bend). A cheaper and easier solution is for you to adjust the preload to a tighter setting. This will cause more vibration to be passed into the passenger compartment, but will help eliminate the clicking or popping you might be hearing when cold.
