injen cai and bypass valve
#2
If you want the added security and peace of mind... go for the BPV. You can get a 3" one from AEM - but you will need to trim a little of the intake piping to get it to fit.
In my opinion - as long as you're smart about where you're driving - no puddles or deep areas, beware of possible flooding, etc - you should be just fine. Splashes aren't too much concern since the area is fairly enclosed (read: NOT sealed). So really the only major way to f it up would be to drive through a foot or two of water.
But like I said... if you want it for peace of mind or something or "just in case" ... go for it.

I would get one just in case! Trust me, Texas weather has been crazy over the last few weeks, especially up here in Dallas. I'm going to get one whenever I have money for a CAI! WHO KNOWS ABOUT TEXAS CRAZY WEATHER!!!

This has been discussed in other threads. These bypasses are a gimmick and at least one person on SL has hydrolocked his engine while "using" the AEM bypass.
They will not open up until water has been sucked up completely past your filter, which means you shouldn't have been there in the first place if it's that deep.
Recommend you put the $50 to better use.
