I plan on installing an Injen CAI. After some research on the topic, I haven't found much people complaining about 2-3k rpm whistle- only during acceleration.

On my stock TC I can hear the whistle when accelerating but also when I'm in 5th gear going 65-75mph on the interstate. It is not loud during acceleration, and even quieter when "idling" at that high of a speed.

However, after reading about how this whistle is much louder with the CAI, I am concerned that the "idle" whistle will become so loud that it is annoying. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not concerned about the acceleration noise as that's all I really want the CAI for- the noise.

Feedback please?

I have thee Injen CAI on my tC. I don't hear the whistling too much while accelerating I hear it only sometimes when i am barely accelerating at around 3k rpm

Okay... WHAT?! It's not a "whistle", it's similar to a "boost squeak". And it's only under load. There is not squeak at idle whatsoever, and I don't know what you think you are hearing, but you aren't hearing any similar sound that is coming out of your stock airbox that would come out of a cold air intake. You're reading the wrong crap. There is not noise at idle. You may sleep soundly.
