Default Injen Exhaust Questions

Does anyone have it?
Injen lists it as a "catback located at the rear axle" and Racing Solution lists it as showing an increase of 10-12 HP and 8-10 in torque. I thought you would only get performance gains from catbacks, not axle backs? Or is this actually a cat back, but the last cat is far back by the rear axle? I dont' know.

Its an axel back, with a little less restriction. I'd guess the increase is more around 2-6 HP. I love my injen exhaust though. Decent price for an axel back, and it has a nice throty sound.

RoryC: Can you feel any difference? Any pics or soundclips? Where'd you get it from?

Keith: how much?

casanova: I bought my car brand new, so I only plan to buy brand new parts for it, but I am curious as to why you are selling it. Did you not like it?

Oh, and thanks to everyone for not telling me to use the search feature!

SWEET! Sounds great! Looks Great! Now, that's with the stock intake, internals, header, etc. right? Nothing but the Injen? If so, I'm sold. That's the look and sound I want. Even if it only kick up a couple horses. The full cat backs that are out right now dont' provide much more. Thanks for the link.

I cant stand the loud rasp emitted by the exhasut header combo. In addition to this im doubting the S pipe's ability to remove rasp. I love the injen exhaust it looks great and in my opinion it is the least restrictive unit made for the TC as far as exleback ,dynoed 5hp 4tq. However if there is no fix in sight whats the use of keeping it.

How long have you had the header for? I think ScionDad said after 500 miles or so, it broke in and sounded better.
Anyway, how much you selling the exhaust for? And was that dyno with the exhaust and without the header?

if you get a custom mid pipe with no resonator ( like me) it sounds freaking badass.......so there is your cat back......and you do feel more power...not much if its just exhaust...u have to open up the tc.......anyways...if your want just sound this is the way to go

Dyno was stock everything except the axleback, my baseline was 128hp and 132tq.With the Injen i got a peak on the 3rd Dyno of 133hp 137tq. Not bad for just an exleback and no other mods. Well i dont think this header "breaks in" there is no precat or anything that i know of that will cause a change in sound except maybe carbon buildup. I will tell you one thing the change is very noticeable my butt dyno tells me at least 5hp im sure is more and tahst just header alone. The Alphawerk header is the best so far, a combination of Intake ,WR is what im planning on so far or the injen short ram. Im sure with the injen, S pipe if it turns out to be effective in removing rasp, Intake and the header i should dyno at 152 +hp and 156+tq not at all bad for a 4sp with just I,H,E setup. Im selling it 280 its practically new.

Just so you and everyone knows... no exhaust is street legal in cali... their are codes that say modified exhaust is illegal. So basicly changing the muffler is illegal. It all depends on the cop though... oh and anything below I think 95 0r 92 db is streel legal
