intakes shouldn't have anything to do with the tranny. it should be fine with either auto or manual

I've only seen engine bay of a manual tc twice so maybe its set up a little different, but I wouldn't think it would be that much of a difference. I have the K&N typhoon and it fits fine on my auto and my friends manual. the injen can't be too much off in design, check all the fittings and tighten up all the bolts is all I can think of. I don't know.

That would be good. i'm not an expert by any means on any of this stuff but maybe if I can see it I can get an idea of how it looks and maybe whats causing the fitment problem

i'm not rich either but by the time I save enough to get one and at the rate I put miles on my car my warranty will be gone. I've had the car 5 months and have 10K on it already.

Well i took some pics with my phone so pardon the lack of detail and symmetry in the pictures. The install took about 2 hours, partly because the instructions were so crappy and lacked any specifics. In addition to that fitment was very tight there is some rubbing but minimal. As far as driveability there in no torque steer, however it is still easy to peel out with the auto tranny, a simple stomp of the pedal will cause this. The sound is very nice similar to my supercharged corolla and gets very loud at the higher RPMs. I did however notice a very loud whistle nothing like ive heard on other intakes. Power at the top is increased apparently but it can be psychological, taking it to the Dyno next week. I just hope that this setup gains as much as WR.

I'd be very interested to see the dyno numbers if you make it to a dyno. You really need to run a baseline run first though with the stock airbox, if you haven't already.

I did run a baseline with injen axleback everything else stock. The injen axleback is good for about 4hp 4tq so the deduction is logical. My numbers were 133hp and 137tq. Thats about 10hp less than 5sp and 10tq less than the 5sp.

we installed our intake as cold air on our tc and it fits nicely
but the loud whistle is kinda annoying....its cool when you step on the gas but when it keeos doing it while you drive it sounds cheap

is this whistle common on all cold air intakes?

is it something with the EGR?
