Thats exatly what i want to know. If you look at pics below of the sc kit and the install on a early show car for trd, they use the stock box at same connection point with just a k&n drop-in filter. If a cai was at same connection point it would but none look like they do. But no fret im sure an aftermarket will adapt, when ever the damn thing comes out.

Any comment on the fact that it states that the Injen CAI is for the 5 spd only?

Hahaha I'm serious about my tC without the intake. Back to topic those things are so pointless without a FI.
what is an F1 and why would you need one?

FI not F1. Stands for forced induction i.c. turbo, supercharger.

I want to see what the black looks like.

but first manufacturer that succeeds to do so will get a very sweet prize...
No one will succeed. Its not like they can change it that much. All it is is a pipe and a filter on the end.

they claim it gains 12hp/9lb... and this is coming from Injen, the people who made it...

now i can believe Import Tuner magazines dyno..

theres no way you can gain 12hp from an intake, usually 5-8hp gain atleast..

Injen is a great company and id rather get injen's intake then K&N's but AEM over both of them...

i really do want to change to a CAI tho, my header is really heating up the engine bay..

anyone want to swap with me? K&N (any CAI) for a WEAPON-R??? PM me

If thats an issue for you, try this: http://www.autobarn.net/exinwrbyth.html
It doesnt do much for looks (although i love the look when installed) but will do wonders for lowering the heat produced by removing the heat shield and installing headers.

The rest of thier products are here: http://www.thermotec.com/products/full/full.html

Ive never installed it. Friend installed it on his and although he didn't notice much hp gains he did notice a big improvment in engine bay heat.

He's right....if your going to show most think of it as a negative. If your never going to show and looking for improvement in under hood heat try the header wrap and this http://www.thermotec.com/products/full/14500/14500.html and the induction system will not be affected at all (but header should be enough, reduces heat by 70%). Like insantec said they are used for race purposes because of heat build-up. When headers installed, im planning on the black thermal wrap on mine. Not all that interested in showing.

don't you have to be REALLY careful wrapping headers? otherwise you might break something?
