its not that you will break something its just you have to do it the right way...you wrap the header before you put them on anyways so there is really no way of breakin anything...but if you dont kow how to do it then DONT do it....

Just because this was said twice now... It said on Injen's site: UP TO 12hp/9tq. This means that with a header, full exhaust and a couple other mods you can expect a gain from stock to this large of a bump. I think with a ported head the gains may be even greater.

The dyno they showed listed something like a 7hp gain and about 5-6tq. That makes more sense, and that's still a decent gain for a bolt on.

I have heard this many times about header wraps. BAD FOR HEADERS!

Found this link to better explain:

Alot of that WAS true with older wraps. They would, as it was called, over insulate. Which means they worked too well and caused alot of the problems stated in the article. Most of the newer wraps allow for heat dissperation needed for cool down, prevent oxidizing, and do not damage your headers. If you read carefully he got his information from a company selling a spray thermal coating. That there is a bias collection of information, of course his info is going to be in favor of that method then the opposed. He also conveniently has the links to where ya can buy these sprays. Alot of that info was valid with older wraps but no longer. The bottom line is if your sceptical, dont do it, or collect alot of unbias research and info and make your own informed and educated decision.

Thanks for the other option though. I always tackle topics with the motto that you can't truely make a decision about one thing without considering and researching the other.

In hind site I should a PMed "Diluvium" this info because it kinda took away from "WeDriveScions" original topic.

Sorry

Got the Injen kit, got the hood... LOVE BOTH!!! The hood is incredible... great quality and hopefully it will be a perfect fit (should have it on this weekend). The kit is a tease!!! I am DIEING to put it on and, although the instructions are detailed and easy to follow, it's a bit involved and the idea of being able to put it on before Sex and the City came on slowly faded away by page two... if I didn't have to use my tC to get to work in the morning, I would have attempted tonight ** SIGH ** Again, hope to have it on this weekend... but it is VERY pretty, blinding polish and I am very happy with my purchase thus far.
Don't know how to attach pic's through the forum, BUT I do have them in my gallery.
THANKS HOUSE OF SCION!!!!

Go to http://photobucket.com/register.php.
Registar (its free)
Then hit browse button.
Search for the pics on your pc.
Hit upload.
You should see it below with the link options.
Use the line that starts with IMG.
Copy that line and paste it into the body of your reply.
Example :

Hope that helps. I find photobucket to give you plenty of space (for free) and able to import larger pics.

it has been verified thru Injen that the intake fits the Automatic tC. I still havent had anyone install it on an AT though, but so far everyone loves it.
