Default Installing header / oil pan, need gasket sealant?

Do you need to apply gasket sealant on the gaskets when you install a new header? (i know you dont need to for the bottom connection, but for the connection to the head you might?)

Also, what about an oil pan? Does that need a gasket/sealant too? which side of the gasket do you put the sealant?

I have this yellow goopy stuff called methyl ethyl keytone, is that good enough for a header / oil pan?

Thanks alot!

dont use any gasket sealant on the headers at all just the header gaskets, as for the oil pan you'll have to check with toyota bc Im not sure but it probabally just uses a gasket without sealant also.

there is no oil pan gasket at all. It is high temp RTV silicone sealant. Orange stuff.

have you ever taken the oil pan off?

There is no gasket. Just an adhesive silicone sealant. And it is a B!tch to get off of there!!!
