Default Injen CAI and other mods questions

Doesn't it have a great sound? I thought so too. And when I put on my Dynaflow cat back exhaust next week, it should roar! Hope it's not illegally loud however. I don't know how the dealer put my intake on as to not to scratch it, but they managed ok. I did notice that one of my wheels has a divet in it, not by my hand either, so the next time I visit the dealer, I am going to ask for a new wheel. I am in the market for a digital camera (yes, I am still in the stone age in some respects), and as soon as I get it, I will be able to post pics of my ride. I want to get that new camera that has a USB cord and port and you can just download your pics by plugging it into the computer! It's a newer model, I think it's a Sony. Cheers to you all! Oh, and if anyone out there knows of more mods that are fairly inexpensive, legal, won't void my warranty, and will boost hp/tq, I am open to all suggestions and would greatly appreciate them. Thanks!

Default Magnaflow on, now I need a header!

Well, the Magnaflow exhaust (I thought it was a Dynaflow but it's not) went on without a hitch, though I had to take it to Midas to do it; the dealer had no cutting tools and the install requires you cut the pipe 3 1/2" aft of the 2nd cat. So I took it to Midas and 1/2 hr and $45 later, it was on! So I save a big chunk of change in the process as well! Now my question is: where can I get a LEGAL header that is bolt on and does not eliminate the cat(s)? New Edge has one, but it's off road use only because it does away with the 2nd cat. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks much!

Yeah a growl is normal, Kinda weird. You talking about the growl when you let off the gas? It shouldnt be raspy but yeah the growl is normal. Well you shouldnt have any leaks especially if you have it as a short ram right now, itz pretty simple. Well you said you tightened everything so tahts good. You ressetted the ecu right? and no CEL light. Then you should be fine. Well if you are really wrrd, If you turn on the car you can actually feel the intake sucking air with just yur hand over the filter. atleast i could with my weapon-r. But yeah you cant have any leaks if the piping is fully in the rubber couplers and you tightened it. unless you have a hole sumwhere.

You just take the ground wire off your battery for 5 minutes and then reconnect it.

Default Injen CAI

You can use it as a short ram intake, adding the downpipe is not necessary plus I believe you will get a freer flow. I did it and it works great.

I think someone dyno'd it some where. I think there was a 3 horse power differance, that and the cold air setup is more efficient cause the air goes smoother through the pipe past the mass air flow sensor.

Noticed something about the pix that was new to me. Ive read/seen posts that depict the filter rubbing if the injen is in sri mode, the pic in the original post looked like it would clear? Is it a newer version or something?

Either way, great post.

Just go with a CAI, ive read problems here n there about the SR plus you paid for it, mightaswell use it fully. But theres one thing you should get for any CAI is doctorisotopes fender panel. Prevents rubbing. too lazy to check but i think itz like 15 bucks.

installed mine today. wow it was a b++ch
first of all, i dont know if its my car or the intake, but it fits like sh*t
secondly, it was almost impossible to get the 2nd pipe in without scratching it like hell unless the fender was removed
overall, it dosent fit correctly.
but it works fine and sounds awesome :]
