^^Well it is not $400 yet but i was just saying if they actual made it carb legal they would raise the price. They did jack the price of from like $280 to $315 for the new ones because of the new amsoil filter.

The new amsoil ones are dry, but I think the older filters are oil

the only CARB legal intake is the K&N intake the uses the upper airbox. Even the TRD says for off-road use only.

trd CAI
http://trdsparks.com/displayparts.ph...&parts_id=1334

under description it says for offroad use only!

this is the only Carb legal intake for the tc

reason is all "tube" intakes remove the upper carbon filter that prevents unburned hydrocarbons from slipping through open valves, out the throttle body, and through the intake, lol

unlikely? Yes, but CARB says its necessary, lol

best bet is to buy whichever intake you want, and paint it wrinkle black, with black couplers, black hose clamps(if anyone makes them), and take your chances, lol

heres an example of mine

im sure if it was night time and the cop saw this, you might have a better chance then a polished or colored intake!

just my .02 cents!

its ebay, theyre just trying to sell the product. theres no CAI thats CARB exempt at the moment so if you buy that one, its probably pending which will eventually be dropped and not passed.

injen cliams about 8 whp above 3500 rpms....but its like $270 which is kinda alot considering little power but sounds awsome....most people buy piping from ebay then buy a good filter and switch but theres no guaranted the ebay piping would be a perfect fit or look good but you get what u pay for
