I did not have a CEL when I installed my header or my intake. Do a search there are many threads on this topic.

intake- if you screw up, you'll get a CEL from a potentially busted MAF sensor. Otherwise, you won't throw one.

Header- You WILL throw one unless you take some sort of preventative measure. Defouler mod, O2 sim, or something like that.

I did not throw a CEL with my header, and I did not take a "preventative measure". I have the DC Sports header. I have heard that with the TC you do have to use an O2 sim or defouler.

I have had mine on for about 3 weeks, but I think if I were going to throw a CEL it would have happened by now.

mine came on for the first time after about 600-800 miles. I did the anti-fouler trick and it came back on a few hundred later.. after reset the ECU 2-3 times it's finally gone for good.

Well im sure the code is going to tell you its either the MAF sensor or the O2 sensor...but im pretty sure that what causes the header and intake to throw a code is that there is more air flow which throws off the sensor and is the reason for the defouler to be installed. I guess to it sets away from the header alittle more resembling more of a stock performance
