intalling a header or intake?!
I was wondering after installing a header or intake did they come across the mods throwing codes? I dont know about the intake but I heard that after intalling a header it throws a code and the CEL come on...
Any idea..I wanted to know before I swap mine out

intake- if you screw up, you'll get a CEL from a potentially busted MAF sensor. Otherwise, you won't throw one.
Header- You WILL throw one unless you take some sort of preventative measure. Defouler mod, O2 sim, or something like that.

Well im sure the code is going to tell you its either the MAF sensor or the O2 sensor...but im pretty sure that what causes the header and intake to throw a code is that there is more air flow which throws off the sensor and is the reason for the defouler to be installed. I guess to it sets away from the header alittle more resembling more of a stock performance
