Some people do and come out with great results though, such as Rado. Then again, you know expensive that is? I rather get a faster car stock and do a few mods here and there, plus itll get alot more respect than a tC.
You are doing good stuff with your car rhythm, I watch your topic all the time, but in todays world, right now, the tC is just your average platform, the new Civic.

Your tC an Auto? And how did you come about owning one? If you would rather get a faster stock car, then why didn't you?
Secondly, I have a 350z. The more expensive the car is, the more aftermarket parts are for it. So, why you save up just to buy an exhaust system for a higher dollar car.....the guy with the cheaper car can afford to boost it or whatever else, and walk on you.
Seeing a modded Evo on the street is nothing new to me. But seeing a Modded tC that can hold it's own...that's hard to come by. And I love the little ricers who got mom and dad to buy them an Evo/STI/350z, and see me and laugh.....that is until they are about 8 cars back, then I can't see their faces any more, and they don't bother lining up next to me anymore.

I was the first boosted tC in my area and hell probably even state. The spawn of street racing videos happen because of this very attitude you have kid. Not getting respect because of the badge on the car. So, because people thought I was an easy push over, everyone in the world wanted to see what a boosted tC could do. And they found out...REAL fast. Now we have about 10 boosted tC's here. The latest race that transpired between one of my friends tC's was that of him vs a Procharged 350z. The owner of the Z said it dynoed 380whp. tC put a car length on him on both races. He has also raced a C5 Z06 and won by a small margin.
Just because you buy and Evo here don't get you respect. Especially if it's stock, and DEFINITELY if you getting your **** handed to you buy a bolt on turbo kit tC.
Now people here, give respect to the tC, and every Scion in our crew including the xA's and xB's.

The best news is that there is much more power to be gained in his motor. The valvetrain is where it's "at" for N/A motors, which can be illustrated in how Honda gets so much power out of their small motors. Once he starts working on the valvetrain with a heavy cam, and tuning it right, he'll likely reach 200-220.
At that point, he's maxed out. But he's done something that many lesser-talented people just fantasize about.

What most immature people don't realize is that ... with a tC... IT'S NOT ABOUT NUMBERS. The magic of a tC is that you can get hands-on experience learning about the workings of a car for cheap. It's relatively difficult to screw up beyond the point of repair. Parts are cheap and universal. It's extremely forgiving and versatile for most of your needs. Best of all, it puts up with people who are absolutely convinced that it's the best thing on 4 wheels, and consistently beat the **** out of it.
Some of us were not in the position to purchase a sports car, and the tC's a good consolation prize. I "like" my tC, but I look forward to the day I'm in something much more substantial.

dude i agree with you. i wish i could have bought an evo but i love my tC and i like that i can beat like it owes me money everyday and it is still super reliable. Congrats to the OP. N/A power is cool, i just didn't have the patience to build a N/A car. Plus i like how my BOV sneezes at people
