my friend drives a tib SE, he has 6 gears and loves it, but i think its kind of ridiculous, a v6 and still only "170hp" we are always right next to each other......
6 gears on a tc would be cool, if it worked well.

the bughatti veron, whatever you spell it, can go 150mph with 250hp, but to get to 250mph, it needs an additional 750hp!! 1000 total!

yep, it is approximately a square relationship between speed and drag. But of course this changes due to turbulence and other unknowns (being a very emprical measuerment). So small changes in speed equate to large changes in power.

Back in July-Oct of '06 when I bought my '07 I drove 1 hr each way to the base I worked at. Avg speed was 80-85, fairly flat road, and I averaged 300 miles per fill up. So roughly 3 trips a tank to work, and only using 91 oct. (the highest here in NV) which at the time was 3.50 a gal, still wasn't that bad in my opinion. The auto has 4 spd which would be cool if it were 5 but still, my friend is driving a 07 nissian altima and that thing is heavy as heck and feels pratically powerless when I drive it and I think its either a 5 or 6 speed. You floor it and it goes no where lol. Toyota did a great job IMO with giving us a stylish car, with cheap price, and an avg. MPG when compared to other cars in its class. I dont see as many people turning their heads at the Altima as they do the tC lol

Hmm thats a good question. I personally don't know...I've only pushed mine to 120 so far stock. It definitly felt like it could go higher but I do know there's a cut off there somewhere, some vids I've seen on youtube of turbo tC's tend to cut at 130 so they say, and I know I have hit the engine kill feature 3 times since I've installed im CAI b/c I would be in like 2 or 3 gear and tops out and activates, so I'd say probably between 130-135 is my best guess

Mickey did you put different sized tires on your tC yet? I've looked at 3 different websites that I googled and they claim the "govern" or "limiter" for the tC is 127 mph. I havn't tired to go that fast, but your claiming 130+ so I'm wondering if they are actually wrong LOL

I think...... there needs to be some less space between third and second and more space between fourth and fifth. Then I'd be very happy.

But as it is, third gear does near half my driving so I'm already happy. I love tC's, who's with me?

lol "tc's arent really good gas mileage cars". imo i think they are cause its how you drive your car. if youre riding past 3k rpm then yeah obviously you are wasting a lot of gas. shift at 25 but make sure its not under 2k you'll put stress onto the engine
