Default K20R swap

K20R

220 HP
8600 redline
Vtec
6 spd transmission

Now has anyone heard of this being done? Just a thought.

This upgrade would solve my issues with the TC, 1st the transmission sucks 1st gear is to short and the 5th gear is geared to low... actually thats my only problem but the 220 Vtec would be sweet as well.

Also my question is will a celica GTS 6spd trans bolt up?

All these are just thoughts for when I run out of warrentee. which at my current rate will be in about 17 or 18 monthes

http://prototyperacing.com/k20kit.htm

i dunno guys.

2zz engine --> k20

....................

http://youtube.com/watch?v=OTMF0Ha_C...elated&search=

ill take the k20 thanxkbye

but obviously, we are talking about a tc with a k20 motor.

peh.

ill pass on that, the only reason is 2zz engine in lotus is a bit under powered compared to k20, but thats like any engine without modifications haha

I could understand if u were putting that motor into like an ek hatch or something but not into a toyota that's like a friend of mine who wants to drop an srt4 motor into his rsx type slow (type slow cuz its a base model) it would b cool if u leave it as a track rat but nothing else

HP isn't everything. It performs great in a 2000 lb lotus. PUt that in a TC and the lack of torque will show

lotus, less than a ton

tc.

ton and a half. ok ok. ton and a quarter

lotus = insane engineering for the drivers driver
tc = insane thinking for the daily thinker's driver

tho i would def not mind if we could get a 2jz in this thing.

Someone threw on a V6 or V8 into the tC not that long ago. There were some threads about it.

Someone was in the process of putting a V6 into the tC on this forum.

Why swap an engine when a turbo kit gives you 275hp+ for around $4500?
