KillerGlass Radiator Hose Came Out!!
On my way back from school I heard a wierd noise while driving and then radiator fluid and smoke started coming out of my hood vent..
I was actually around the corner from my house and made it home safe. Check engine light came on right before i turned off the car
pic of the damage
I will reply back to any comments later on, I am going to toyota to buy a stock hose and new fluid

got a rubber hose, was a pita to put on cause those claps are sucky. sprayed down engine and car, the fluid actulay shot through my hood vent.
check engine ligt went away, alsothe temperature seems too be fine, i was informed to take it for a little drive, and see how it does.

Which clamps? If they are the constant pressure type (the ones with no screw, only a couple of tabs to squeeze them open) then those are not crappy. Those are about the best hose clamps you can find. Screw type clamps loosen as the hose shrinks. The ones I mention dont, so they are less likely to leak.

there's little chance of failure if it was installed correctly.
i've seen the killerglass hoses and the heat shrink tubing that they provide. the quality on them is insane.... especially the work necessary involved into making these items and manipulating pyrex glass.
(specialized torches... and liquid cooled full body suits )
looks more like you didn't cover enough of the glass hose when you installed it.. thus not providing a good enough seal... thus why the hose was able to come out like that.
cause was install error.
you'll probably just need to get some new heat shrink hose thingys and reinstall it.

^^ make the installer pay..... make them buy the new heat shrink hose clamp things...
also.... those special hoses are from what i heard are very hard to find as killerglass's supplier/manufacturer of those things can't keep up with their demand. (and they're the only customer for them?!)

all i can think that they can do is to provide you with new heat shrink hose clamp things.. and possibly charge you for them.
at which point.... you have said installer pay for their mishap... and then re-install it yourself... that is unless you did install it the first time around...
at which point you pay... and just install it correctly the 2nd time. lesson learned.

i had the dealer install it, yes flame me lol.
from the apperance of the piece that came off, the hose was cut incorrectly, and the heat shrink didnt have that much bite.
i talke dto the dealer and they were very sorry for this, gave me a new stock hose and 2 gallons of fluid.
the clamps are the tab ones, and they sucked to get on, i did use clamps, but it was hard toget it along with the rubber on the mounting point, but after trial and error, and some juevos it went on.
i cleaned the engine, and the whole car so im good to go, ran the car for a while, check engine light went off, and went for a spin around the block, everything is all good

Those clamps are a bit of a pain, but very good clamps as far as reliability. They actually make a flexible tool that opens them and locks so you can manuever them around, get them in place, then release the lock on the tools handle to let them clamp again. But a pair of channel locks with the slightly hooked nose works great on them too
