Default Knocking During Acceleration

Hey guys. Im getting a mild but very noticeable knocking noise during acceleration ONLY. When the car is at idle, everything sounds normal. The supercharger sounds perfectly normal as well. The knocking is louder when the car is accelerating cold but even long after it warms up, the knocking is quieter but still there. Ive noticed absolutely no power loss. Someone said it could be spark knock or mild detonation... But why? Im completely stock with a supercharger on the TRD reflash. Why hasn't my "learning ECU" adavanced or retarded timing to stop this? Its been almost 3 weeks of this. Can any help me out here?

Just changed the oil myself bout a month ago and its level is fine. Wouldnt I hear the rod knock during idle if i had it?

try using higher octane fuel, if you're not already at 91/93 for a tank and see if there's a difference

No definitely not a pinging noise. It's more like a knock or a tap if you will.

I'm really bummed right now. I was in denial for the last 3 weeks thinking it'll pass or that its just something little that needs to be fixed, but the more I think about it the more I feel like something major is wrong. The car just feels different, I can't explain it. It's very depressing considering how well I take care of it and how good its been till it reached 55k.

So what you guys think I should do?

At 55k take to dealer. Should have warranty. Mine is making same noise so don't feel alone at least.

First get some MAF sensor cleaner and clean your MAF. Disconnect your battery for 10 minutes then reconnect, start your car and let idle for 10 minutes then go for a drive gradually getting on it harder and harder.
Try this an see what happens. If you still have the same noise then take it to a dealer.

I'd take it to the dealer before you hit the 60k mark!
I got knock on my fully stock motor at about 55k and its not a pretty noise.
I did regular oil changes myself, they couldn't explain to me why it happened either. Anyway the dealership without warranty would have been 4k in work..

You'll know its knock if you drive by a fence and can hear it over the "normal" sound of the engine. (its a horrid noise)

Noticed something horrifying today. The engine is indeed buring oil!!! I changed my oil a month ago and put the 4.3 quarts it calls for (.3 for the supercharger capacity). Checked it over the weekend and it was down 3/4 of a quart. Filled her back up to slightly above F, drove her a good 40 miles, and sur enough it was down another 1/2 a quart. I checked the entire engine for leaks and there was nothing. Look at the tail pipe a day after shining it up and it was covered with black soot. This may explain why my pre cat failed a week ago. Wow what a mess!

does the tick advance as you accelerate? Like more RPM = faster knocking?

if so Id say spark knock, change your plugs they may be firing down the porcelain into the plug instead on into the combustion chamber

Do u think it could possibly be the wrist pin on the connecting rod scaping against the cylinder wall causing a path for oil to squeek by?

maybe the piston rings are worn already, check the engine compression.

What gas are you using? Where are you gasing up? Changed spark plugs or inspected them recently?

Honestly I ran some octane boost and cleaner, helped my noise. I gotta change oil soon anyways and will do compression test get a better idea of what's going on here.
