Leaking oil
Alright, im new here and not really super car savvy. But i can hold my own. 2007 scion TC. Shes been well maintained, and has about 120000 miles on her. Shes begun leaking oil from the seal right under the oil cap. (Forgive me, i dont know what this seal is called. ) a slow leak, if i keep up on it, its fine. Is it worth sinking money into or should i cut my losses and be done with her? Thanks guys!

^Agreed. Usually those seals can be had pretty cheap and no more than 1-2 hours install for a first timer. Less scary if you can find a fsm (factory service manual) which will walk you thru the repair and provide torque specs.

You could check the torque setting on bolts nearest the oil cap. Another possibility is no chemical sealant in the seam between the engine head and timing-chain cover.
On the other hand, like MileHightC said, a new gasket is not cost prohibitive. Especially if you do the work yourself.
Here's a guide. Section 14 b says "oil pan" but that's a typo. Torque pattern isn't listed but I've read it's (2) inside bolts first. Then outside bolts, starting in the middle and working outward in a star pattern. The diagram also omits gasket installation but that's pretty straight forward.
