less power? vacuum leak? please give info
Long story short:
I was comming home from work yesterday and my car seemed like it lost some power and as if there was an air leak. I jacked the car up today and found that I had a small air leak where my o2 sensor was (but it was very small) - I also had a rattle in the shield on my cat - both were fixed today. Now, either my car is quieter with the hole plugged (and since there is less noise it feels slower) OR my car is slower due to some kind of other leak.
I looked at the whole exhaust and saw the o2 leak. Bringing it to my local shop ...they confirmed this was the only leak and fixed it.
....now which hoses do i need to check tomorrow to look for another kind of leak? Please, if possible, give some pics. I know a decent about my car but some of the hoses I am not sure of. The plan was to take a spray bottle and fill it with soap water and spray them down to look for bubbles. Please help. thanks.

well, good move fixing the leak around your A/F sensor. any extra air getting into your header's will f*** with your fuel trim. a vaccum leak however, would mean that you have a problem somewhere in your intake system (usually the gasket or the ducting). hope this helps.

Ok so I still had my boost gauge in my car (cause i used to have the s/c) - I just hooked that back up and it appears that there is no issue with my vac and my exhaust was fixed as of yesterday. For anybody in need of a pic of the vac hose this is one i found on another post (just look at the left most circle and that gets plugged into the manifold - so its pretty easy to find):

Now I think my issue is that my header has cracked at the bottom where the two pipes go into one. Here are a few pics - I think my loss of power was due to the backpressure being a lot less. What is the easiest way of testing w/o taking the header off? ....or do I need to take it off?
