Default lightweight flywheel

okay, im getting a lightweight flywheel but dont know what weight I should get. my car is still my daily driver so i dont want it too light, but i do want it light enough to feel the difference in acceleration. and also while im at it. should i go ahead and get a new clutch also? right now eveything in my transmission is stock.

if its a DD which means a street car then 12lbs will be fine for you,you will still notice the difference, ill rev alot quicker,if your going boost then yea youll need a new clutch, but if your not planning on going boost then stock will be fine unless you wanna upgrad while u have the tranny apart doing the flywheel

I would change the clutch at that mileage since you have it apart. It should last a long time past where you are at, but still, at 80,000 and the tranny out it just makes sense. You dont need anything stronger than oem spec really, so just get a good quality clutch.

And the advice above is true regarding not going below a 12lb flywheel. You would notice a bigger change in driving habits needed if you went much lighter. You will need to adjust your launch habits already with the 12lb, but it should be a better setup for the average daily driver.

Clutch feel should be the same given the clutch you get is similar to stock. Obviously if you get a different clutch it will feel different.
