got an e-mail back from doc!!
Doc writes:
That would be like my LazyBoy. I make a leverage-based shifter,
packages start at $330 including core fee.
You can choose **** style, total height, etc.

Ya, that sounds about right. Probably includes a cage and everything too. Possibly even bushings.
Like someone else mentioned I've been thinking about this as well. Especially with more and more autocross, this might be kind of nice to have.

don't really have a cam to record video...
i really need one of those GoPro cams like ack has... take the car auto-x and then yea... record some stuff..
but the **** is so close to the wheel.. if i'm in 2nd gear, i can lay my hand in-between the **** and the steering wheel.. it's THAT close.

So I emailed the Doc on this b/c I already have a short shifter and some bushings, and a custom **** (from him)... so I didn't know how his package deal would work out... so here's some helpful info if anyone is like me and already has some of this stuff done - but would inquire about the lazyboy.
- Bushings: cage bushings are different front to back for the lazyboy, so you couldn't really use the same bushings you may already have.
- ****: needs to be from the kit because the boot really won't go up that far and one with a regular collar or something would look crappy
- Core Fee: since I don't have my OEM shaft anymore, he probably wouldn't be able to refund much (or any, basically) of the "core" fee he normally would if I returned my current one.
Just some things to keep in mind. I'm still not sure yet if I'm going to order... but even if I do, it probably wouldn't be right away.
