Default Megan midpipes

Installed the mid-pipe today. As you guys know it comes in 2pieces, so when I turned on my car I could hear the air escaping to where the pipe meets in the middle to become one piece(mid-pipe). I screwed it on with the screw and nut it came with and I also put the gasket.

Any idea what it could be?

I know I tightened it so can't think of anything else.

1. Check alignment, make sure the pipe is not twisted or hanging sideways

2. properly install? not backwards?

3. I like OBX gaskets, they are 2x as thick as the one that comes with these pipes. Try that, I used to run 2 gasgets on my car because I had a slight leak with my Tsudo pipes.

Hope that helps some what...

i know when i had the megans midpipe, the gasket was to big, weird,so i just put a smaller one in,and it worked, same spot,to where the two meet to make it a full midpipe by the hangers

Thanks guys! Lifted it up and looked at where they meet and they were slightly off and sure made a lot of noise from there. Loosened it and held it in place as I tightened it. Turned the car on and....waaala! Sounded perfect..nothing but exhaust now.
