Megan race header questions....
Hey im kinda new to this whole thing but i was wondering what i need to do if i get a megan race header? What parts do i need (gaskets, bolts, etc.) ? And how will i turn off my C.E. light? And will the o2 senser fit or will i have to buy something to extend it?
Thanks
Thanks

i think the gaskets come with the header and if im not mistaken there is already a hole in the header for your o2 sensor? try www.meganracing.com im sure they will tell you

when you buy and if you buy it brand new it comes with a gasket that goes at the top from the heads, the bottom donut gasket you slide off your factory header and onto the megan header. as for how to remove the CEL light you will need to buy a anti-fouler to make it work (one of these-link at the bottom) and install it on your o2 sensor that is located on your s-pipe, oh yeah the header does come ready for you to screw on the top o2 sensor without a problem.

when i got my head i used the stock donut gasket and the used gasket for the holes too so if ur car still has the stock pieces on the header then its fine. bolts u can use the same as stock also. i bought my antifouler on ebay for 5 dollars and ive had a check engine light on once in the beginning then disappeared and ive been driving wit it for about 30k plus

you should be fine, leave the top gasket and put the donut gasket and bolt it up, as for rasp you are gonna get some but usually when the car is cool, after a good 10-15 mins majority of it goes away.

also every couple of days check the bolts on the headers new stuff expands or w/e on my honda i had 2 retighten the bolts on my header for about 2 weeks till it broke in dunno if any one else had this problem on the tc i aint got headers yet

no you can install them by yourself, the bolts on the heat shield are 14mm i believe, the 5 on the engine block are 10mm, the lower 4 are 14mm and for the o2 sensor disconnect it first and remove it once the header is off with a 7/8" wrench. remember to let the car cool off and during that time soak the bolts with wd-40 so they won't be a hassle to remove. once you get that o2 sensor off screw it onto the megan or whichever one you are installing and just redo all of the steps except the 2 lower 14mm bolts that are against the engine block. make sure everything is tighten and turn the car on and let the wd-40 burn for a good 3-5 mins and give it a test run. let it cool and recheck your bolts to make sure nothing is still loose.
