I have a trd axel back and am looking to get a midpipe soon as well. I may get a an spipe first though. It kinda sucks there is pnly 2 brands to choose for a midpipe. Im thinking of just getting a custom 2.25 midpipe made. I dont know the first thing about where to go or if its even worth it because they would overcharge at muffler shops. What do you guys think?

first theres the header with the main catalytic converter in. after that is the s-pipe which takes it from the header to the midpipe on the s-pipe is an o2 sensor for the main cat in the header. the stock midpipe is one piece and has a secondary cat first, then a resonator in it. aftermarket midpipes are usually two pieces. the muffler part of the exhaust is pretty self explainitory, one piece with a muffler and some pipe.

I am thinking about buying the Megan mid pipe for my tC I have the TRD Axel back installed & I love the sound it makes!

Does anyone know if you gain any power buy installing the mid pipe?

Does anyone know what this sounds like on a automatic?

maybe 1-2whp all other factors equal, as youre atleast removing the secondary cat. and itll sound the same as it does on manual cars? I have it along with the trd (repiped to 2.5in) and a 2.5in spipe; liked the sound for the first 4 months, then the tiny-tiny hint of rasp from about 2800-3000rpm and the level of drone made me replace the resonators with vibrant ultraquiet ones. loved it ever since. Deepest exhaust ive ever heard on a tc, but very smooth. In its original form id say it gives the tc a slightly boxer-ish/unequal length header sound. still has that growl now but its an octave or so deeper and quieter.

I have the Tsudo + TRD. I didn't have any fitment issues and the tone is great. Here's another video of the same set up.

^^i have to agree with this guy. tsudo+trd is what i have as well and the sound is great and i get alot of complments on the sounds everyone says it has the wrx sound to it. didnt have any fitment issues at all. everything bolted right up. here is a couple videos of mine. this wasnt just a couple hours after i installed it. so it wasnt broken in yet. i say if you are not looking to spend alot tsudo midpipe is a good choice to go with. i was kinda on a budget with how much i could spend.
