For the millionth time. Rasp the Neverending Topic.
Here's my setup
DME header>second CAT>AR25 resonator> stock resonator> Basic maganflow muffler from muffler shop.
So I though the AR25 resonator would kill all the rasp that I was having, but I was wrong. After so many posts saying that the Ar25 resonator was the thing to beat the rasp I was convinced. I still have the metallic rasp at the higher RPMs. I am at my wits end. I am not sure what to do. I'm thinking more resonators or maybe even a high flow CAT.
Please for the love of god I need a sure fix for the rasp? I need some serious help, I am running out of money and patience.

I'm pretty much damn confident that its the axleback. Even after all that and u still have rasp. Get the tanabe medallion touring, i think one of the most expensive axlebacks. But if u hate rasp ull love this axleback. i fergot how long the stock resonator is plus your AR resonator, but im catless with only 14" resonator. and i have no rasp at all, pretty much sounds stock. I have a MMW header which seems like it has alot less rasp then 4-1's but im pretty sure the tanabe will fix it.

HF cat will calm it down alot... since you have a aero res it might even kill the rasp all together.
im running WR header, meagan mid and a concept G and it had ALOT of rasp till i put the HF cat. rasp went down by 80% with the cat. im just too lazy to get the aero put on.

That's why I ditched my header LONG back and am much happier with a full cat-back.

hmm i dint kno they made that exhaust for us tc owners yet. Ive heard almost all the axlebacks exept the new greddy SE. according to the site the style is basically the same as the medallion touring, so i guess it depends on what kind of material or packing they use inside the chamber. the website isnt telling me. So i really have no say on it. looks promising tho. might even be the same shiit as the medallion. I for one fully stand by the medallion. Even met the one of the guys at a show. Very cool guy.

When i'm driving it sounds like I can hear my exhaust and then the metallic "rasp" sound. it almost seems like the sounds could be coming from two different sources. Could it be that I have some leaks in my exhaust? Could this be the sound that i am hearing?
