Ill make this as short as possible:

I originally went through two headers, first one didnt fit correctly, and the second one had small fitment issues with the flange not correct from the head either.

* This is the problem i had with the quality control.

...and for R& D part? well, ill show you all pics of my pstons if you would like to see how far off the timing was. enough to create detonation. ( Probably due to the placement of the o2 sensor ) When u pulled my head off, there were small nics in the top of the piston from detonation.

* All i had was the header, intake, and exhaust for 6 thousand miles, then sold it. ran premium gas since i bought the car, and have always used the correct plugs.

- Sorry to thread hijack, but i just wanted others to realize ( and MMW / Weapon -R ) that there are issues with the header. I think you guys will most likely object, but i also have pictures to prove. Im just lucky enough that it wasnt a severe amount of damge to were i had to replace the pistons. * For now

Good luck with the sale though...
how the heck would the header cause detonation? how would the placement of the O2 sensor do that? if it was throwing a cell, then the o2 sensor was tell the ecu to add more fuel to the mix, which means it wouldnt have gone lean to cause detonation.....where are the pics of your pistons, are you sure the marks arent from over reving or a mis shift causing the valves to score the piston head? your ecu must have been messed up or you were using a piggyback and when you tried to tune it for your parts you added fuel to the maps but didnt realize that on some piggyback systems that trying to trick the ecu into putting in more fuel also causes it to advance the timing

i love the no research into the product yet they produce the most power comment i guess they must be awesome guessers

hey i cant complain about my MMW header...i have the 2 peice deisgn and yes i had to take out the fan a little to get it in BTW elbow grease to work a little harder is nothing..

and that statement about an o2 being out of place lol..and your pistons knicking because of the header?? lolol wow ive never heard of a worse excuse of probably over revving the car to its max or ecu problem or someone probably mistuning your car in my life.. if the header alows your car to breath better(which the primaries of this header are larger then stock by a hair) how the hell are you gonna nick a piston lol.. you sure you were spraying your car or screwing arounf with other things other then the header... sorry but ive taken my head off 3 times and have owned the header well over 4k miles and my pistons are niec and fresh and i pump 93 all day since i got the car.... id check out your car or w/e your doing and not the header... fitment i can understand.. piston fracture.. not in even in the ballpark..

the header is not smaller in size but it is one piece for easier install.
And it was a Pain fitting those two top pieces together sometimes.

We will be away on tuesday till wednesday for the 2008 xb and xd measuring session in LA.. Were going to be fitting some of our newer parts on the new cars and checking fittment..

So if i can i will get some of the pictures of the header up on monday if i get a chance. If not expect them on wed afternoon..

What the heck? i installed the 2 piece for the 2nd time today (because i got my new S-pipe thanks Leo) and it was not hard at all. why would it be hard to put the two piece together? i think its gonna be even harder for a 1 piece i dunno but 2 piece was not hard at all. But sadly i had to take it out still.
