does anybody have the mmw headers on a tanabe exhaust..
if so what does it sound like...good or bad

Lol i do, and i did purely because barely any people have it. You talking about the medallion touring? all i gotta say is SEXYYY, i got the tsudo midpipe with the 18 inch reson. all you need.

 

does that tsudo midpipe get rid of all the rasp?

 

i beleive the tsudo sucks. Having an 18 inch resonator does do something though, but the resonator prolly sucks since i've had so many problems with their midpipe, plus its not even stainless steel!! mines like rusting on me. Ill just say most people with a header and exhaust usually get about a 25-30 inch resonator. I think its the axleback that makes most of my sound, the medallion touring is an OEM style canister which is bigger then straight thru mufflers which means more resonating efficiency, which take away rasp.

 

i have a tanabe concept g, and im putting in a megan header and an invidia s pipe. you think i'll be alright with a custom 2.5 inch midpipe with a 30 inch res and a high flow cat?

 

oooohhh yup yup, 30 inch resonator is pretty good, plus with a high flow cat, thats all the space you got on the midpipe anyway right? the concept g isnt as good as the medallion in muffling sound, but with a 30 inch reson, u shuld be fine. Just make sure that you are positive on choosing megan, i havnt heardanything bad about them but im starting to hate aftermarket companies nowadays, they just dont do enough R&D, if any at all,, they just make it, and dyno test it. Especially MMW, had fitment and leak problems. I had invidia before, fully satisfied with them though.

I already have the tanabe concept g installed andi love it . the megan and invidia are in my room waiting to be put on so its too late to change my mind on that. But i want my tone not to be muffled but tuned. Basically i would love to maintain the sound that the tanabe puts out by itself. A little louder would be fine. also maybe i'll put a high flow cat and 2 moroso spiral flow resonators. what do you think that would be like?

Wow that sucks, is the megan header that bad? I have a header with tanabe and only a 18' resonator sounds sexy.

No it wouldnt i know that for sure. I have MMW header with only a 18" resonator with a tanabe medallion touring, you decide. the extra 12" should compensate for the smaller size muffle on your axleback.

WEll its probably a dumb idea to order a resonator, lol who the hell told you this. If you dont know a crazy site that sells resonators for a cheapass price, the best idea would be to just go to a shop and have them weld you a resonator, MOst shops dont even charge for resonators and just charge for maybe an hours worth of labor which heere is about 85 bucks.
