Default Monster Motorworks Radiator Cooling Plate !

We have just finished the radiator cooling plate for the TC and will be releasing it next week. We are currently Laser Cutting them out and will be finishing them over the weekend.

They will be a polished piece and will have 2 mounting holes.
This piece will go over the stock plastic radiator cover for a better air seal.

Pictures will be up on friday.
I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

are you going to do any sort of testing to show differences in temperatures?

the best that we can do at this time is to use a laser temp gun to the radiator to show the temp differences.

it's really hard to show the differences, due to driving conditions, air temp, distance traveled, and driving habit on each testing run.

but we will do our best.

For people who don't know what a radiator cooling plate is-it's a.k.a. "air diversion panel" like the one made by Greddy. There are pics of Greddy panel in one of the posts in power hungry. The only problem with the Greddy panel is that there had to be some modification done to it-the hood wasn't closing properly. I'm gonna order this one tomorrow, and as soon as i get it and install it i'll put up pics.

They are 99% for looks. Actually more like 99.9%. Not trying to bash or be rude, but dont expect any benefits from using one. Just being realistic for those that dont know.

ATF coolers are always beneficial, as there is no benefit for your auto trans to get hot. Obviously with a turbo setup, there will be more heat. Don't plan on any cooling gains, it's all for bling. If you want cooling gains, put a lower thermostat in, or switch over to a Fluidyne (or similiar) radiator.

Bling is in when you raise the hood. I tried to make one up myself, but didn't mount well. Wasn't impressed with the results of the SS. Depends on the price tag they want. Probably alot since they sell it as a cooling effect as opposed to bling.

haven't seen a fluidyne out yet (1 or 2 row) claiming to fit the tC but that's definitely on the list as is the ATF cooler. exhaust is first (waiting on CC stainless S-pipe and Tig delivery)

I'm getting the Greddy on monday... Got my Tracking number. I'll post picks sometime monday with it in. It's mostly for asthetics, not performance, but everything helps I guess.

Many of us don't do it for performance anyways... It's a nice touch to the ride...

That's why I opted for ABS. I just wanted it more as a "privacy panel" to hide the horns and whatnot when I open the hood-- and to keep myself from dropping tools down there. The cost factor with mine is... lower. A lot.

Really nice. I like that. If it were stainless steel it would be KING. But the ABS still looks SWEET. WHere did you get that?

^^I used to buy ABS from the college I went to at a pretty good price. If Rolla or one of the other nearby colleges around you have a plastics dept you could probably get a good deal on a piece of it.
