Thanks. We have tons of ABS on hand-- we make the airboxes for our circle track cars out of it. The piece for the tC took all of 90 minutes or so to make. The only thing that prevents it from being "track quality" is the lack of zipties.

I couldn't bring myself to do aluminum or stainless. The aluminum would look like hell in a matter of weeks (hello, oxidization), and well... I just don't like working with stainless.

That's why I opted for ABS. I just wanted it more as a "privacy panel" to hide the horns and whatnot when I open the hood-- and to keep myself from dropping tools down there. The cost factor with mine is... lower. A lot.

Where you get that at?

Here are the pictures.
This is a NON FINISHED piece.
It will be De-burred and then Polished and badged.

NO HOOD CLEARANCE PROBLEMS.
NO RATTLING OR RUBBING NOISES.
NO MODIFICATIONS NEEDED.

monstor motorworks... sorry to say... that looks like poop

i know you said it isnt the final product... but i hope it does go behind the radiator that far... well none of it should... it should just stay on top of it.... and i hope your price for these are like DIRT cheap cause all it is is a piece of sheet metal cut to fit. $25 for the final product?

dont get me wrong, i like the fact that you are tryin to help tC owners out, but help us a little more with a great final product and low price (much lower than greddys)

btw... if you can make these in CF (granit they come out looking good), i would be very intresed in getting one.

Correct me if im wrong but.
Is there anything else out on the market that DOES go and cover the top of the radiator, WITHOUT modfications, Rubbing, and or fittment problems?

And if you think that looks like poop, what does the greddy one look like to you?
That part doesnt fit correctly, and doesnt cover the radiator, and also makes noises while driving, not to mention that you also need to modify it to allow your hood to close.

Just want to get your feedback for future product development " Break_away"...

I have heard that it needs to be trimmed down a little, but covers the area that is needed (the front of the radiator, where air can move up). There is no need to cover the radiator from behind... because it is getting the air from the front. This mod is for looks, yeah i helps a little... very little. so make it look good!

btw... greddys looks alot better imo (but then again you said its not the final product, so we will see when it is done)

To each their own.
You may think it doesnt need to cover the top of the radiator but i as a racecar fabricator feel that it is needed, because the stock radiator cover bends up slightly and it would only help in better cooling to completely cover the radiator and the OEM plastic plate to gain the optimum cooling effect from this mod.

Im just a Racecar parts fabricator maybe i dont know ISH..

Just some of the parts I have fabricated that people use on their racecars.

Titanium Parts for real racecars that I have Fabricated.

Titanium Race Header for B Series Engine:

Titanium Race Exhaust Manifold for Evolution 8:

Dont worry about these guys monster, a lot of these guys are real hung up on name brand. A lot of them will also wrongly critise (sp?) you on an unfinished product (which is why a lot of the guys here dont post anyting until its perfect. Once its buffed down and nice and shiny these guys will eat their own words.

I still don't understand why both of the offerings go over the plastic radiator shroud. The shroud has a lip on it. Use the lip. Perhaps I'm just more biased toward my more OEM-looking creation... or that I know how ridiculously simple it is to fab one.

Anxious to see a finished product nonetheless.

I don't know why people are complaining about the radiator cover while people were ravving about getting the Greddy one. Not only does the MonsterMotorworks panel cover a larger area, there is no fitament issues, no hood closing issues and there is no trimming needed to be done which would mean that it is far superior to the Greddy Panel which people liked. Also as stated Monster Motorworks said it WASN'T A FINISHED PIECE so you can't compare it to a FINISHED Greddy plate, I don't think the Greddy plate looked like a finished piece when it was under development. I definatly can't wait to see the final product and how nice it looks

its a prototype its going to look ____ty, I think its a great start, if it works as far as the hood shutting and whatnot thats your main points of interest, anything blocking that hole obviously is going to channel more air, its the fitment that really counts in these situations. Monster..what finishes do you plan on doing on them? any laser etched logo's or anything?
