A header is all for show minimal, very minimal power gain. You can always paint your stock header heat shield or polish it to give it a better look. The same thing with the header, you can polish them, ceramic or powder coat them.

If all you've seen are fart cans you haven't been looking at all the exhausts. Some do look like fart cans, some are angled up so they're rain catchers, etc. but some do retain the factory or TRD'ish look. For example Dezod and Magnaflow once again.

A quality resonator can work wonders but it all depends on your setup.

You bought the worng car if you want cheap speed. My last car was a 95 Honda Civic hatchback which cost me $1,800 and then I spend about $3,500 for a boosted GSR engine and ran 12.8 on street tires in the quarter. It got stolen and I wanted a comfortable commuter car so I got a TC.

Id prolly go with an '86 buick lesabre before I did anything like that. I am financing the car and dont really have large chunks of cash to put down at once, but I love working on my car. If the only way to get sufficient gains is to boost it then I'd def go that way, but its going to take some time to get the money together. Is it possible to do portions of the turbo at a time?

do suspension work first. then see if you actually need power.

So ive decided on a catback for the time being till i can get enough work done for a small nitrous shot. Need a little help though. Of course I want a nice deep sound with max hp/torque gain but nothing crazy loud or weedwackerish. Im leaning toward the magnaflow. Maybe megan. Any suggestions which would be best for my setup and desires? Plus i have the injen CAI so something that would pair nicely with that.

Spend the money on gas to practice your driving skills more. That will make you faster than bolt-ons will for this car.
