Default my n/a tc dyno run.....for MODIFIED MAG....aug/sept issue

well me and my buddy joe..(joe@dezod on sl)...we have been doin a photoshoot for modified mag its goin 2 be the aug/sept issue his car is the feature but they wanted mine for comparison between na/ boosted tc...and i have to say its really good dyno pulls for me for just injen intake, exhaust and aw header....the dyno runs where performed @ TRICKENGINEERING...so i put down..165.1ft/lb of torque and 161.0 whp which is awesome...

very nice job... it sucks that i/h/e only brings you up to stock crank hp... you considering s and midpipe to free up some more?

Wow.. I cant believe someone said that sucks! That is actually VERY good for those few boltons. IHE does not get you the numbers some people seem to advertise. I would be very happy with what you have!

Hey guys, I highly recommend the Agency crank pulley! I just installed it this week and notice a huge difference. Not alot more power, but it does pull harder and smoother!

you are prob right... i guess i was given a little taste of overhype when i purchased all my stuff of being brought up to 200hp. salespeople will say anything i guess... but in my defence, to see hard on paper that putting around a g into the car and oly getting back what you lose due to friction does kinda blow... i am happy to find out the truth however...

Nice numbers but what are they for the STANDARD correction not SAE correction?

this makes me want to go dyno my setup. I have the I/H/E like you have, but then i've also swapped out the midpipe, spipe, and a couple pulleys.

The Spipe rocks for only $100 shipped. You should get one and dyno it, i bet you add a few to your #'s. It would be interesting.

What confuses some is that they buy a header that is supposed to add 20 HP, and exhaust that is supposed to add 20HP and and intake which is supposed to add 5hp and then think that they should be adding 45HP, which is pretty far off. First, the gains from the manufacturers are usually VERY inflated due to the way they "measured" thier dyno runs (pulleys are a huge example of this). Second, you cant simply add the gains together, or even close for that matter. So I would say you are seeing the realistic gains for these mods, which is pretty good IMO. So to those that are going by what the manufacturers state, dont feel bad, I rarely go by those advertised claims at all. With boost, I can get a pretty good idea of what to expect, so it is easier to tell if the claims are correct, but for those mods and 20WHP gain, you are looking at approximately $35 - $40 per HP, which is realistically all you will get per dollar out of any other reliable mod.
