Stylis, i completely disagree with you on the single inlet dual outlet muffler theory. There is enough room under the car for that setup. I have a Borla ProXS 2.5"in and 2.5" outlets, with 2.5" piping. The car sounds much better and performs much better. No dyno on the car yet but you can definitely feel the power increase. Anyone else chirp in 4th? That is with a slightly modified stock header. Don't ask b/c I won't tell ;). But yes, the exhaust can be done.

I could possibly agree with making a dual outlet setup work... given pics, but just that with a "modified" stock header (which in any form would be restrictive) won't yield significant power gains... you can run without a muffler at all, with a header/spipe/full catback setup and not see anything super large in terms of power...

No, i never said i was smarter than you about exhausts. Maybe the guy who did mine is. You can run the piping over the suspension also. It is possible. Makes more room for lowering and the Borla ProXS will tuck up in so there is ZERO ground clearance lost.

I can't see how you were able to put the exhaust system over the susupension without moving the Gas Charcol vapor hoses. That is a very dangerous area for a DIY install of a dual exhaust. The systems that I make are for easy installation. I wouldn't doubt that if I extremely modified a tC of my own for the shop or SEMA, I would be able to come up with something that is single in dual out that goes through the suspension, but when it comes to something that everyone can do at home in the garage or in the street; this is an exhaust system that works best. In more personal experience, I would never use borla, but thats up to you. I am glad to see you have dual exhuat and soon you will 6more scions with dual exhaust when I ship them out in about another week. :D

Yeah, it worked, i'll have to actually crawl up under the car and get some pics for you. It wasn't a DIY to be honest. The gentleman who did it used to build race cars for The Porsche Haus in Nevada. He's been around it all and pretty much done everything and been in a few magazines. Only person I trust my car with. Can't really say it was easy though. He told me never wanted to do it again lol.

I know i am late to the party but interested in this mod. My main concern is ground clearance how much lower is it then stock. Seems that the mufflers become the lowest points on the car. Last thing i want to to do is hit a bump and rip one of them off if i get it.

Tis True... I wish I had time while down there to get mine on... but I'm now running a 7 inch large magnaflow setup from Precision and loving it as well!
