Default My scion tC "I/H/E" low quality PICS*& CLIPS*

(update)

wassup guys, just trying to throw yall my stuff for the tC..

Aftermarket parts:
-DC Header (it is half way wrapped; it was entirely wrapped but i took the bottom piece off to check if theres any damages on my header caused by the thermo wrap. but no damages)
-Weapon-R intake w/ WR Ram Air Kit ( air kit is semi-installed; its not attached to the filter but near it. i am not satisfied with that product so thats why i hooked it up that way) (Weapon-R intake is Thermo-Shield Wrapped; reflects heat away)
-Weapon-R Damper Kit
-Custom 2.25" midpipe w/ Resonator
-Tsudo Exhaust (i feel embarassed to say this)
-Resistor Chip

and here are the clips! they are short, poor quality but i think sound matters to most folks. This is a 3gp file, it must be played through either Windows Media Player or Real Player <--those 2 programs will update itself for the plug-ins... ENJOY!

Sorry, way not a fan of the engine bay... it looks really cluttered... Our tC's are very clean in their design and I'm a stickler for keeping it that way inside and outside when it comes to modifications.... At least move the ground wires to follow piping or framework... For reference... here's my bay, and I've cleaned it up significantly since this pic as well, so what you see here has been touched up here and there too (Stickers removed, lettering off hoses removed)....

Doesn't suck at all. Just that many people here (including me) like the clean, uncluttered look of an engine bay. If it was my engine bay I would have used a less conspicous wire like black, and put the engine cover back on. I would have also opted for a ceramic, jet hot, etc coating on the headers instead of wrap. Stainless is nice, but it is weather proof and will turn a blueish color over time with the heat.

Who cares if your engine bay is pristine...unless you go to car shows, you're pretty much the only person who's going to see it.

So, from the other side of the fence, I say that if you're happy the way it is, leave it that way. Leave the showboating cosmetic obsessed people to their own.

Coming from the Showboater...... ROFL.....

I don't think it's that bad.... Just could use some touchups to make it look sharp.... I'd be surprised if you didn't want it to look clean.... It's got some great performance mods and they would just go with a little different organizational setup...

I'm sure that you're not going to be the only one seeing it, as it'd be a shame.... Too much pretty stuff in there....

No hating.... Just constructive advice!

Keep it up...

I don't know about you, but when i shell out $17,000+ for a new car, I'd like to keep it looking clean everywhere, whether people see it or not. But like I said before, It's not bad by anymeans, just cluttered.

idk, from what ive read here in the forums, alot of folks been getting 153-156hp with I/H/E... but im planning on putting this car in the dynos (about 70 bucks to dyno). not too soon tho, im over 26k miles on this car now so im gonna spend some time on maintanance work. ex. fuel system cleaning, etc...

i really dont care of the mess on the engine bay. i mean when you drive, people see it from the outside.

just to let you guys know, my ground wires are attached to the right side of the engine because the left side bolt vibrated off. idk why but the sealed thread on that bolt broke, so i got hole in there..

Umm... those ground wires don't just drape down near the header like that, do they?

Definite finish issues, regardless. Just because something is functional doesn't mean it has to look slipshod. Even doorstops come in different designs and colors. Make it look like you gave it some effort.

the wire is like an inch away from my header though the wire does look burnt but theres no hole burnt through it...

i would hook it to left side of the engine but the bolt came off.

gotta move that wire.

are you embarrased about the Tsudo exhaust or the eBay resistor mod? If I were you I would remove the resistor, but keep the exhaust.

actually i did took out the resistor mod, you know what? it actually sounds better; it took some of the rasp away. and better gas mileage, obviously.

but i do enjoy that resistor mod tho, it pulls hard constantly.

i am thinkin about buying new headers tho with s-pipe and just thermo wrap all of it... oh, and id careless if the headers crack since ill still have my DC's. i got DC headers wrapped and still no problems...
