Natural Power
So a couple of my friends convinced me not to get a turbo since I don't plan on racing or anything, anyways I was looking through the forums I came across this http://www.monstermotorworks.com/cgi...&ppinc=search2 "kit" and was wondering a couple things:
1. Is this header going to make my car sound like a ghetto fabulous civic?
2. Am I really going to gain 41 hp from this?
3. What is the Ram Air Kit??
Any info would be great, thanks

^i'm gonna have to disagree with the trd muffler. by itself it sounds alright, but when combined with an aftermarket header that thing is HIDEOUSLY LOUD! i had it on for two days before i could take no more.

mmw is like a bunch of honda kids that started a business.
injen intake seems to the best
the spipe is fairly restrictive so upgrade that
the trd exhaust is nice and quiet and doesnt drone on the highway but might be too quiet for you and doesnt make any power
you might want to think about getting the zpi cat back spipe and the dc sports header and a injen intake. one stop shopping.
you wont make alot of power with just bolt ons. Turbo really is the only way to make alot of power, but liek yu said your not racing.

switched from trd to greddy sp2. slightly louder then stock but no where near as loud as the trd+aftermarket header combo. when going at constant speed, sounds almost stock. when accelerating, gives a very nice tone.

Ram air is a gimmick. The Ram Air Firebirds (4th Gen) is still controversial as it's basically a body package on the WS.6 cars. You wouldn't really see any major output change until you got up to higher speeds with the cars.
I'm surprised nobody has actually been creative and made a real ram air, but you'd have to cut the hood and maybe do something akin to a SAAB 9-2X Aero or Subaru Legacy hood scoop. Then maybe use an air box from another vehicle that has a I/D size that matches the current car's intake.

Wow thanks for all the response! Well after searching through the forums and all this negativity towards this kit I have decided on the following:
Injen CAI (which was actually my first choice)
Injen Exhaust
DC Headers ( and i guess I'm going to need a 30" resonator but I did find this other topic about the DC Headers which I need to spend a little more time on)
ZPI S-Pipe
All told I'm guessing I should get around 20-25 hp with this setup. Also later down the road I plan on getting the engine torque damper, a lighter flywheel, lighter rims and anything else you guys can suggest for a N/A engine.

injen cai ftw.
with mmw you will get more power and keep youre low end torque (plus it comes with an s-pipe)
exhaust go with the ARK dt-s it kills alot of the rasp itself and has perfect decibel sound with a header, plus its almost stock looking, if youre not into that go with the n2 its louder and stronger and comes with a silencer (you dont want to get a ticket).

there are videos at the bottom of the site...
go the cheap route you will get cheap results, go quality and performance, proven.

Very nice, clean setup. Ive never herd the injen exhaust tho. MY stepfather has one on his tiburon and it sounds good and the quality is great as is all injen stuff. Down the road get an ingalls stiffy and well not to sound like a zpi *****, but their clutch and flywheel seems real nice.
for rims look at rotas, very cheap and very light. Slipstreems are light as heck and cheap!
