Default need help guys dont know what to do

alright dont flame or anything. But i have an 07 scion tc and have done about 1,500 dollars into looks into it and love what ive done. I know i can make it handle better but my problems are i hate all these rsx's, 07 civic si's, redneck v8 trucks, and eclipses that say sh** bout my scion cus its not fast. and i agree its quick but not fast. I dont know what to do i/h/e/pulley will help slightly but not much. then i still have to worry. and i dont have the money for a turbo and with my car payments itll take almost 2 years to get a turbo. but i almost have the money for i/h/e/pulley. I have thought but dont wanna trade my car after all the work ive done to it but there isnt really anything else out for the tc besides turbo. ive researched p&p and that wont do much from what i know. Any suggestions would help guys thanks alot

Do you like your tC? If so, who cares what they say about your ride.

yeah, seriously. just get over it. no matter what you drive, people will have something negative to say about it. even if i had a turbo tc, or wrx sti, my neighbor with his 9 second camaro would be to laugh and point and say my car is slow.

if you want considerably more power, you need boost. there are no short cuts unless you do nitrous, but that is more of a shortcut to the junk yard.

it is performance, you get what you pay for.

I have people laugh and things, say my car is "slow" or whatnot. Mostly coming from EVO, SRT4 owners.

My response: "At least I do not need two jobs to make my car payment"

That usually ends the comments right there...

Be proud of your car, those Idjits who call you car slow are jealous of how nice it looks. It dosen't sound like you are in this market to be a racer, so why bow to those ******? Enjoy your ride.

Pics?

yea, seriously....sometimes, when i'm leaving the house to get in my car, i stop and admire a bit before i get in cuz i love how my car looks! you said you're happy and proud of what you've done....so that should be all that matters. do NOT let anyone else tell you otherwise!

Ditto.

If anything, you could always boost your confidence when you think about how much more reliable your tC is to most of their's (except maybe that Civic/RSX).

I/H/E usually ends up making the car much louder and not much faster. Then you look like a real fool, drawing lots of attention to nothing.

You won't beat any of the cars you mentioned without the SC or turbo, so put it in your savings fund.

Just wait around like I am for another change in the layout of the engine bay, then the 07-08+ S/C will go on sale like the 05-06 is right now, making it really cheap and really worth it! :D

i'll confirm the "much louder" part. just installed s and mid pipes (already have CAI and axle back, stock headers), so i'll keep you posted on the "faster" part, once i get a chance to get it on the road...something tells me it wont be too significant.

If you want to get rid of the rasp, look into installing a resonator or two. It's caused by the header.

well if you bought the tC for speed, then you bought it for the wrong reasons......plus most of these cars cost more than $20k+ so its harder to compare them.....

imo, i/h/e is a waste unless your running boost. it will probably just make your car louder and obnoxious more than anything.
