for Golden Eagle. You and ZPI seem to be taking this market very seriously, and let me tell you, that speaks volumes in my book.

I'm willing to bet that if you support this car with aftermarket products like others have done with the Honda market, you'll be happy with the rate of return. Again, my hat is off to a good company taking us Scion owners seriously.

^^^
yes because honda people at 1st didnt know they were in need of new sleeves until it was too late

i congratulate GE for developing this stuff early for those who DO run into trouble can find a QUICKER and easier replacement rather having to wait for a product to develop.

What would be neat is if I could just get on the phone and just order a "built" completely drop-in/bolt-on maxxed out motor, either NA or FI, depending on my mood.

cams will be almost impossibe to make for the TC due to teh VVT-i...

the electronical system is so high tech taht if u were to change it out for race cams or anything. it will do more harm than good.

the engien is built around these stock cams and designed to maximize power and fuel efficience. so gettin race cams will make ur daily driving... horrible or not a pleasent trip.

well thats what i got from researching about VVT and 2az and toyota engines and FE heads

If you want "race" cams, you're going to have to disable VVT-i.

But cams are entirely possible. They're simply not plausible. Cams for the tC would cost some serious $$$ to work with VVT-i. While it's possible, not many people are going to want to do it before buying a new car. To get cams to work with VVT-i, a lot of money needs to be dumped into R&D. It's possible though.

im glad to see golden eagle in this.. i think the nicest thing they should be trying to make is a new Intake manifold for the tc...

AND FOR THOSE WHO CRY ABOUT CAMS!!!... PLEASE READ YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT VVT-I and how it works.. our VVT-I setup does not work on Cam lift but cam timing!!!!!! regrinds will not net you a good gain for the money. please stop this crying for cams when you should be worrying about timing!!.

our motors not VVTL-I which are the ones who work on lift and timing.. not like us that work specifically on the timing degree angle of the cam shaft.
--end rant to noobs--

A new intake manifold would be great though!.. longer runners for the NA guys and short ones for the boost hungry... i think thats were GE should come in on.
