Default Noise when you start the engine

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but does anyone have a problem when they start up the engine in the morning....it's not smooth and make this like choking noise. I don't know how to explain it but it's not smooth. But after I start the engine...in the afternoon it start smoothly. My Co Worker have a tC too and It's doing the samething. Anyone have the same problem? or know how to fix it?

my car always runs like crap for the first couple of minutes after the first startup in the morning. Shifting is rough, the engine takes a little longer to rev up, etc etc. if that's what your talking about, that's normal IMO because another guy that i know has said that his car does the same thing.

OMG i have the same problem.. and i have been scared for a month now thinking my car was going to break down.
Should i take my car to the dealer to have them check it out or take a look at it. Its a 2006, it should start so shaky like that.

Which just goes to show you should actually stick with what is recommended for your engine.

87.

Putting in anything higher will no give you more power and may actually cause problems. If the care needed anything higher or ran better on higher octane, they would have recommended it.

aCtually ive been gettin problems just starting the engine period. It seems to stall for a second then it starts. I have many friends that have tc's around here, and one of the, actually told me something about the fuel lines. That when at night when we turn of the car, the fuel doesnt go back....it stays in the pipes, so by morning its bad or something....idk lol does that sound right?

I've noticed if the air is warmer mine will not run as well.

After the I/H/E it will start 1st turn perfect - when it gets warm it wants to not start the first turn then starts normally.

This issue was already discussed in a previous discussion. I have the same issue and it seems to be common and normal.

^ I wouldn't believe any fuel would go bad overnight. Sounds like BS to me.

If it seems to stall for a second, make sure you have the clutch ALL of the way down (if it's a 5spd). It will fail if you let off too soon.

I have my Injen CAI - DC Sports Header and a full 2.5" Exhaust and Injen Axleback... The problems started after all 3 mods were done and I found out it was not fuel that caused it.

The problem is when the car starts it reads incredibly lean. After it reads lean it doesn't know what to do so it just 'dumps' fuel.

If you have IHE upgrades you really should get something to manage the fuel.

Actually that's right. It's the fuel pump. I tried it and haven't really had much of a problem since. I took it into Toyota and they couldn't figure it out. Just turn on the car for 2 to 3 seconds then turn the ignition on and it should catch right away.

My dad, whos a mechanic said that you should put the key in and turn it only till pint you hear the 3 or 5 rings. Becasue the fuel line or pump is filling (or something like that) during those beeping sounds. then turn the engine on. When i do that it starts fine - but damn it when im late for work i dont have time for that ____ - and i feel a new car should start automatically with no problems whether u wait for the rings or not!! Who is with me?!!....
