FYI, RJ DeVera was the "kid" playing GT on the Playstation. I guarantee you he has more knowledge in his pinky finger about cars then 1/2 of this board combined. :D Not that I'm defending the movie, there were defenitely some incredibly stupid parts in there, just pointing that out (he was also used as a consultant for the movie).
I don't care if he "consulted them". It was evident in nearly every peice of that movie that it was created by someone with NO knowledge of auto tech or racing. Just because someone who has knowledge of it played a little cameo in the movie does not make it any less realistic. I would bet the knowledge of just about anyone on this post against the idiocracy that was displayed in that movie.

djrmonie, _____in write-up. some good info, too bad no one will get it.
as far as the movie goes. you have to remember it was a movie not a documentary. it was made for the sole purpose of making money (which it did quite well) and was not made for those that are seriously into "the scene". most of the audience would be isolated from the plot so they wouldn't really get what was going on, that or they'd be bored because real life is boring. the simplest way to put it is that it is dumbed down to the lowest common denominator (american youth)
