obx helical lsd

Quaife/TRD is the only LSD for the tC, i would never put anything else in my car. The last thing you want is a serious transmission issue. Especially with the time and difficulty of installing an LSD.

an lsd will help you put power to the ground, so normally it is recommended especially if you plan on going the turbo route. However it is not recommended that you go the cheap route, spend the extra money and buy either dezods or trds!

real quick (because there are lots of threads on this already), an open differential will transfer power to the wheels with the least resistance, and a LSD will transfer power to the wheels with more resistance (more traction). This is especially important when...

the only thing is that i dont have 1200 bucks for an lsd.. is there any one that has put the obx lsd in and if so do they have any problems.. i blew my motor out of my tc about a month ago and i have to build the motor back up to handle boost. iam currently in college for automotive and iam working on trannys now so i was curious if the obx is a decent name brand for the price. if not i prob wont get a lsd sense i dont have 1200 just for an lsd when that can buy my manley rods and cp pistons

i would never ever trust a obx part, none the less a obx lsd, do it right the 1st time, spend more money now and you dont have to worry about it in the future, qualife and the os are the best when in comes down to it.
dont go the cheap route when it comes to your motor and tranny

thanks guys.. ive learned the hard way twice now.. i think ill just leave out the lsd for the simple fact 1200 i do not have the kind of cash to drop into it... maybe once college is out. hopefully i will still be able to put alot of my power to the wheels and not spin

now do correct me if i am wrong, but it sounds as if since you do not have the money to buy the lsd you wont be buying your turbo setup anytime soon either. which means you really shouldnt be needing an lsd anyways. also, dont forget that the list price (os giken 1500, quaife 1100) is for the part. you then heave to tear apart your trans and what not for install. so slap on some big labor costs. imo id go turbo and see how radical your setup is before you determine if you actually NEED the lsd. this is also coming from a college student being pressed on money. all this is also being stated with the assumption this car is a daily driver.
