So I sent a email to raceland for the red intake and asking them about the bypass valve. here is the email i got back. They say it does come with the valve? weird

Thank you for your interest in Raceland products.

I have made this item available on the website however it may take a few hours to appear. Check later this evening.

This intake does come with the a bypass valve.

Thank you,

Raceland USA

dude if you have your fenderliners in you will be fine, just dont drive through massive puddles really fast. Get on of the hydroshield socks to help protect it

Just placed my order for the red intake.
Is there anything akward about this install for this intake that i should be aware of? I know to disconnect the battery for the install is there anything else I need to do to reset the ecu?

disconnect the battery to be safe, install it being careful not to mess up the MAF sensor, then let the car idle for like 10 mins, then take it for a cruise to let it car learn. That is it

This what is comes with.

Air Intake kit for the Scion tC comes complete with the following:
  • Stainless Steel, wire mesh reinforced Sport Air Filter
  • Lightweight, polished aluminum extension tube
  • Silicone connection hoses complete with hose clamps
That is all.

No cleaner kit. Filter is pre-oiled, cleaner kit cost extra. im sure you can just us the k&N one from your auto store.
And do you really need a sheet of paper with parts list and install. Its very easy a caveman can do it...oh snapp.

Well I had ordered the cleaner and it did not come in the box. So Yes I wanted to know what came in the kit so I know nothing was missing. Since my order came incomplete I wanted to make sure I got what I had paid for.
