"Official" Wire Tuck Thread.
Well im slowing turning this into an all around wire tuck thread since its been such a "hit" and it seems like alot of ppl have questions and want to try this themselves.
ill update the first post bit by bit.
any questions, comments, ideas, pics...about wire tucks...
fell free to post.
First ill start with some pics, then give as much general info as i can.
not 100% done, ill be painting all the ABS wires white for now, because i have to many other projects to finish to get wrapped up in that, but they will be re-located someday.
as well as tucking a couple of the smaller wires and wrapping some things in black tape, and a couple final zip ties and brackets.
SO HERE IS THE ONLY CURRENT TC WITH A WIRE TUCK...
that im aware of.
and some general info taken from my pics thread.
the hardest part is splitting apart some of the harnesses and figuring out the shortest possible distance each harness can run then figuring out how to route it that way.
and i havent even tried extending wires yet, so idk about that...
its alot more work than eveyrone thinks.
what ppl need to realize is that...
I HAVE NO A/C
I HAVE NO POWER STEERING
MY BATTERY IS IN MY TRUNK
IF I WANT TO CHANGE A FUSE I HAVE TO TAKE MY BUMPER OFF
IF I WANT TO CHECK MY COOLANT LEVEL I HAVE TO TAKE MY BUMPER OFF
I HAVE NO WINDSHIELD WIPERS OR WIPER FLUID RESERVOIR
i think thats it.
not meaning to yell, i just want everyone to realize that before they start tearing their isht apart. and also to realize that theres might ends up looking nowhere near what mine looks like...
still need to remove all the power steering hoses, and still need to take out the power steering pump or route the belt around it.
also need to get a smaller pulley otherwise the tensionor rubs on the belt constantly.
also need to put breather filters on the in and out lines that run on the steering rail.
not to mention its a PITA to get going while driving.
keep in mind your car will have to sit for either a whole day or more than likely, a couple days. you wont be able to drive it...unless of course you feel like putting everyyything back together every night. (trust me, you dont)

Not really much to do with them.
I guess you could re-fab all new lines and route them the way you want. Which would be an epic PITA
Why the wire tucking and what not, going for a vip theme?
I like the polished aluminum/stainless engine covers for vip style, plus their easier. And you know how I do things. Hide the ugly

i dont see you being able to replace them with the lines due to the fact that they are fragile and very sensitive, you can go ahead and try but im just letting you know to be very careful because that controls your abs system and if i can recall correctly if air was to get in the lines have fun bleeding that unit, its different then just bleeding your brakes. i think dont quote me on this but i think you need a special tool to bleed the abs unit.
i would maybe try to find a creative way to use a stainless steel or aluminum piece and fab a cover for it. it would be easier, safer, more cost effective (incase something happens to it) and it would still look damn good.
also remember that neil tjin had a lot of major support on that car and a ton of money went into it.

This might help:
http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2103425
Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the pictures don't work anymore.
Doesn't seem that hard, but more time consuming....very time consuming. And very precise work.
