x2 on that, i have the megan drift spec exhaust...when i put on the megan header i noticed alot of low end torque was gone,it was pretty bad, gain some mid to high end but nothing big to keep the header on,so i took it off and put my oem back one,big difference,i guess the oem header isnt too bad

I have tons of rasp too, and I have the aero 25 resonator. Here is my setup: Greddy Ti-C exhaust, HPS short ram intake, DC sports header. I am using the stock mid-pipe and what my garage suggested was to replace the stock resonator with the aero 25. Well that is what we did and I have a ton of rasp. Should I get another resonator to add to that one? And if so which one?

replacing the stock resonator with an aero 25 probably just made it louder, but the stock resonator restricts a lot more so ar25 is better.

i have dc headers and an obx resonator and still have some rasp im about to get an aero 25 installed with the obx ill let you know it if helps or not so you can decide to get another resonator or not.

Laminate: keep me posted on this. I think I am going to try the vibrant ultra quiet with the aero 25 and see if that helps.

Laminate: that looks just like mine. That thing made my car crazy loud after we replaced the factory resonator.

the OEM resonator is actually one of the best resonators to use when it comes to trying to quiet down the exhaust. just maybe a more restrictive.

I've got the same issue with rasp, and the Raceland Exhaust is louder than hell. I have an Aero AR25 sitting in my kitchen right now waiting to go in. My issue is that the only place to put the AR25 on the Raceland mid pipe is right where the stock Cat was on the standard midpipe. I don't know if excessive heat will degrade the AR25's internals being so close to the back of the s-pipe...

I'm hoping after the AR25's installed, it will reduce the exhaust volume as well as atleast some of the rasp. I had to put my stock exhaust back on cause the Raceland exhaust was so loud and ricey. It did make a noticeable difference in power which I miss...

Is rasp with the DC header THAT bad? I have a local guy trying to get rid of his, but my exhaust is all stock. I've looked for youtube videos of stock with DC header but can't find a quality video.

UPDATES!!!

got the aero 25 in. honestly it sounds the same as the smaller one that i replaced in in the megan mid pipe. the OBX resonator got rid of the most rasp hearing the aero makes me appreciate that obx one a whole lot more. id definitely recommend it if your trying to get rid of rasp or quiet your exhaust down.

either way, here are some pics first before the videos. i apologize the ones under the car were with my iphone and are crappy.

heres the OBX resonator, 18" total, 14" of resonator, 2.5in inlet/outlet, 4in total diameter.

Here is a pic of the megan resonator in the front of the obx resonator, this is the one i replaced with the ar25.

And here is the Aero in place.

These are the two resonators i replaced, i painted the big one with some aluminum paint just for fun. it looks pretty new now lol.

Also one more pic, i noticed this about the very end of the megan midpipe and was curious. im wondering if this tapering of the pipe back to stock size for an instant before connecting to the greddy will hurt the airflow at all.

the videos will be coming soon just need to get them to youtube. i have to go to church right now though. i have 5 videos so everyone can hear it from all different angles and inside/outside etc.

Has anyone added a magnaflow catalytic converter. If so did it get rid of the rasp?

the one on the OEM midpipe, we got strict laws about cats, so as long as I have one I'm good.

Finally got the Vibrant ultra quiet resonator welded on today in line with the AR25. I am amazed at how well it muffles the rasp. I was finally able to put the Greddy Ti-C back on my car since I have put on the DC header. It was so bad before that I had to put the factory exhaust back on temporarily, but now it sounds amazing. Loud when you want it to be, and quiet when you need it to be.
