I like the innovate LM-1, cause it data logs, but all the wideband controllers are pretty pricey...

PLX makes a decent setup as well.... getting the controller and sensor are the pricey parts.

Sorry this is the setup I had in mind http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...niversal%20Fit
does the LM-1 have a narrow band out put ? I already have a Auto meter AF gauge so I would'nt want to get another gauge, also would a wide band converted to a narrow band gauge be accurate ?[/url]

We can't get it to work.... it seems to be proprietary...

Some of the wideband convert to narrowband for reference use, but the digital displays and loggers are by far the best for tuning.

that plx m300 is supposed to be a good piece, although i don't think that particular model has data logging. The real benefit of the narrowband output is to replace the stock narrowband sensor altogether by sending the narrowband signal to the ecu. Our cars have a one-off wideband sensor that can't be replaced so you'll still have to weld on another bung for the wideband o2 sensor. It used a bosch sensor no?

Just get the AEM Uego, it comes with gauge (digital readout, and LED blinker $hit) and the sensor. They are $280 shipped.

^^ I agree, Uego is the way to go, Its inexpensive and looks cool.
If you decide you want to data log you can always add on.
Im getting the TurboXS wideband tuner, cuz I got a deal with my Dtec-fc.

I already have the autometer AF gauge (New) if I hooked up the Autometer gauge to the narrow band output on the wideband kit, would the led move slow like a wide band gauge, or would it bounce from lean to rich all the time ? as for the digital read out the kit I like has a seperate digital read out.

It will read more like a wideband gauge, if it's hooked up o the wideband setup's narrowband output...

Okay good, what if I mounted it in the rear 02 sensor where the oem narrow band sensor is, and used it to replace that sensor, would it get an accurate reading from that far back ?

I have the PLX M300, you need a narrow band converter thinger for the Autometer gauge. It blinks the LEDs an accurate reading. http://www.plxdevices.com/NB_WB_GaugeConv.htm

You can't replace that sensor, as the stock ecu needs to read the o2 readings for emissions.... and if your running an aftermarket header, you can just get a new bung welded on to your s-pipe really cheap... and just add the o2 on there... my local place is like 30 bucks or so to weld a bung on.

Yeah I think i'll get the bung welded, would the sensor be more effective closer to where the header meets the s pipe ?

From PLX's Website...

I would like to weld another sensor bung on my downpipe. Where is a good location to mount the wideband sensor?

Anywhere before the catalytic converter and approximately 24 inches downstream from the engine block or turbo is a good location. The sensor element will fail if it is exposed to exhaust gas temperatures above 850 deg Celsius. Both the Bosch and NTK sensor fit into 18 x 1.5mm thread.

So the sensor cannot be mounted behind the first cat...

A Cat will effect the results of the readings, so you really want to run A/M headers with a wideband o2 setup... which is why the first 02 is before the precat.

Can anyone explain the benefit to having one of these to me? I'm quite the newbie with car parts. Thank you.
