Pennzoil Synchromesh MTF
Did my own search and it seems that no body mention Pennzoil Synchromesh in their manual transmission. Has anybody tried this fluid, is it better or do you guys suggest redline MT-90.
I just wanted to know for my next transmission with LSD cuz my original manual transmission has Royal Purple Max-Gear and use it in the cold weather in Rochester, NY cuz I'm a RIT student. After using royal purple for several months and notice that it cannot handle during the winter until the transmission is warmed up. Now my 3rd synchro is F##ked and it kept grinding everytime I upshift or downshift. During warm weather, it doesn't grind if I shift it normal and if I shift fast during race, it grinds.
I Hope this make sense to you guys cuz its 4:01AM here in NY and I'm not thinking correctly.
Thanks

Hey dude. I'm an RIT student too. I actually just switched over to Redline MT-90 this past weekend and love the difference. I've never heard of the Pennzoil tranny fluid, but I know that the MT-90 is recommended on Nissan and Toyota Engines. You may want to have Dorschel take a look at your car. They've always hooked me up in the past.

As you were saying about the MT-90, I'll go for it. I used to be a toyota technician and I know its so damn expensive to replace the synchros so I might as well get another transmission or save a little more money to get a rebuild kit then add LSD and so on. Thanks man, I'm gonna look this MT-90 from redline, I noticed that i couldnt find the word MT-90 in the redline website... is there another name for it?
