I thought this should go under the "ice" forum but oh well. Pictures of a stock cover vs my polished one. Took me about 4 good hrs. I'll touch it up a little more later hafter i get some feeling back into my hands. what you guys think?

thanks, i've never transformed something that was so ugly into something beautiful before lol. It's time consuming but i'm going to sell a couple of these puppies on ebay lol. Rose, how dose the painted one look? That was also what i was going to do but i thought i'd try this out first

Eddie....so what are you trying to say? lol... it's a male/female deal? l think regardless of sex, age, race, or cred...we all want our rides to look hot including the engine bays with custom touches.

 

I'm in the process of polishing mine, but since I don't have a spare, it's taking a little longer since I gotta do it while it's on the car and I can't do it while it's hot after driving.

I'm using Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. I may have to get the Powerball polisher attachment or just use good ol' elbow grease.

I'm willing to bet money I've done way more work on my car myself than a good percentage of guys on here.

 

yeah bro... I used a metal polish on mine that was specifically for aluminum...and I did mine on the car like on a Sat. morning...and worked just fine. ....yeah doing it with the engine still warm is a no-go...lol

the days of mainly only men working on cars is so far out of date. I think it's awesome to see men and women alike wrenching.
