Lil Deuce.... my comment was to Tina... NOT Shara when I was stating that... it was from the somewhat sexist comment that someone else on this thread said.... lol

i thinks its easier to do off the car. That's why I bought a spare one but its not something you can really mess up. I like the painted one rose, did you diy? I was thinking about redoing my header but i'm far to tired from doing the cover, that's a project for another weekend. lol

would you like me to PM you the site?.....they offer incredible deals on their services... I totally will stand behind their product 100%....they have even had exclusive U.S. military contracts for coating parts on helicopters, jet fighters, etc.... that is badass stuff. and they guarantee their work

I have many moons of experience in building custom rides... PLEASE....do NOT EVER wrap your headers in that material...it will destroy your header very quickly.

why is it bad for stainless steel? i thought just cast iron. Lots of cars use it on their down pipes and other exhaust pipping. Educate me please lol?

it will cause the headers to warp or crack, its due to heatbuild brought by those wraps..

The main reason that it is a bad thing is that wrapping headers and exhaust parts is that it severely reduces the life span of the part....b/c it does not allow it to cool down properly. Do NASCAR teams use it?....hell yes they do....BUT..... they have a lot more of a budget than what most people do... as for US....(the rest of the modding world)....it is not worth it to use that crap. b/c most can not afford to replace those parts every few thousand miles of runnin hard....the best bet for the modding world is having those parts coated by a place like JetHot.

no valve covers arent that hot and nobody (i think lol) would want to wrap the valve covers..
and its true these wraps are used on some race cars to keep the hood temp down but as mentioned they have a budget of replacing parts in every few races since are more on performance rather than longevity
